Emerging Climate Leaders Gathering: An Inner Dimensions of Climate Change Program
DDMBA sponsored and participated in a youth leadership gathering in El Valle, Samana, Dominican Republic, 15-21 February 2025. The gathering convened 22 youth environmental leaders from 17 countries and focused on capacity building, holistic regenerative futures, and community-level resiliency.
Convention on Biological Diversity, COP 16
Convention on Biological Diversity, COP 16, held in Cali, Colombia, in October 2024, explored the theme “Peace with Nature”. DDMBA co-sponsored the participation of three young people who designed and organized events on biodiversity.
Global Citizenship Education Forums
Regional Expansion:
DDMBA continued to conduct forums across North America, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Edmonton, DDMBA’s retreat center in Pine Bush (NY), and Washington DC.
Core Themes:
Exploring global issues, relationships with nature and others, regeneration, and contributing to the local and international community.
Engagement: intergenerational participants, from youth to the elderly.
Key Venues:
Event venues include the University of Alberta (Edmonton) and George Washington University (Washington, DC), as well as various online programs centered on traditional wisdom and environmental stewardship.
